I have always found myself in awkward places. I have never found the city I was raised in to be my home. I have never fit in, and I often amuse myself with thoughts on people around me. I am a tomboy that has a black belt in Taekwondo, but I am also the hugest girly-girl one can ever come across. I am tough and fragile at the same time. 

 

More awkward yet, I am 5'5 - I am neither tall nor petite: but my personality is everything but 'blending in'. Matters are made worse by my extreme proportions, hence my nickname 'matchstick'.

What I have been through and what I have seen made me realise that - it is ok to be awkward. It is more than ok - I am proud of being awkward, being an outsider. To break free from the cocoon of shackles one has been hiding within, one must learn to be fearless. This fearlessness is fueled by the belief that everything is going to be ok - everything will be five-by-five.

 

I hope to share and exchange with you, my friends, thoughts and opinions on various things. Makeup is my warpaint, and fashion is my armour to fight the battle we call life. We are strong and we stick together. Five Five is a platform for you to be you.
